Imagine a house without windows

Imagine a house without windows, weird isn’t it? Be it glass or tinted or sliding or stationary, windows serve as sources of light. They are outlets for free ventilation.  They could even make less sense without window blinds or shades. As they come in different colours, styles and patterns, they transform the kitchen, living room or bathroom. For enhancement, these create a better-looking room. They also help with privacy and control over the amount of sunlight entering the room.

The installation process of the window blinds need not be complicated. It is as easy as it gets. You only need to affix a pair of brackets to the window frame then mount the window blinds.

To get the best out of the room, you need to consider the window shape and size when you are choosing window coverings for windows. Then you need to know how you use the room and the amount of sunlight you want to let in and keep out.

Other things to note include:

Think on the fitting that best suits your taste.

Before you measure up, what option do you prefer? Would it be inside or outside the recess? For windows in small rooms, inside the recess is a better option. This is because there is not much wall space around them. Teaming your blind with curtains would not be a bad idea. Then for larger rooms, a blind outside the recess should sit well to block out more light.

Measure the width of the recess for blinds going inside the window recess. The next thing would be to measure the width and height of the recess at its narrowest point.

For blinds hanging around the recess, measure the width of the recess and add 4cm to each side, after which you measure the height of the recess and add 15cm.

Do you consider these suggestions helpful?
